Heath W. Churchill has over 30 yrs of experience in the architectural field, since finishing college in 1988. Ranging in the fields of commercial, retail, corporate, industrial, & institutional in projects sizes of over $30 Million in construction costs down to the very small residential projects that were just in the $1k's.

Heath has been employed full time in architecture in Toronto after completing the main formal architectural schooling. His experience in these projects ranged in responsibility from Designer, Project Manager, Construction Contract Administrator, Senior Technologists, Job Captain, Draftsman,  Network Manager, and CAD Manager.

He worked as a student first in a high school Co-op program for a mechanical air conditioning company called Dunham/Bush, which now does not exist.

First year of college summer employment with Arthur Erickson architects (Roy Thompson Hall, Canadian Embassy in Washington).

After college he worked for Shore Tilbe Henschel Irwin Peters Architects and Engineers, which then became Shore Tilbe Irwin and Partners, and is now Perkins + Will Architects for 22.5 years, Shore Tilbe Architects being one of the biggest, and long established firms in Toronto and Canada before the takeover by P&W.

For the next 5.5 years he worked for Petroff/Architects-Research-Knowledge (ARK). There he experienced the worlds of non-profit work, developer work, and the retail building design world.

His last 3 years have been with API Development Consultants/Saplys Architects as Associate, Manager of Construction Contract Administration, and Team Lead.

Heath also has hands on construction experience. He has built his own cottage including doing the excavation, forming, rebar, concrete pouring, framing, sheathing, window installation, siding, insulation and AVB installation, drywall, trim, and roofing. As well he has some electrical and plumbing experience. He can solder his own copper pipes, install ABS/PVC piping, install PEX plumbing, and has installed sinks, toilets, and showers himself. He has installed circuit breakers, wired lights, and outlets. He has also installed ACM cladding (aluminum composite panels).

Again these are things that should be left to skilled trades people and should be licensed. The above is mentioned purely for the sake of demonstrating practical knowledge of these special licensed trades.
